1 Timothy 4:12 reads “let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity”.

To be a good or model example as Timothy instructs, one requires good examples to learn from. As the youth leaders at I Am Jesus Christ Ministries, our central aim is to point the youth to the perfect example - Jesus Christ. 

We take seriously the role of youth in our ministry. Because not only have the youth been called by the Lord (as illustrated in Jeremiah 1:5, for example), the youth are our future leaders. The senior leaders in the church need to prepare the youth to one day lead the church and take up their rightful positions in the Kingdom of God - not in eternity alone, but right here, on Earth where the work of the Lord must continue. The youth have been earmarked by the Lord, we believe, as instruments for the revival that have long been spoken about and prayed for. 

As young leaders ourselves, we understand that many are the struggles faced by young people. We need not look far for the pressures they are often met with. Many of them are broken, rejected and not in touch with what the Word of the Lord says about and to them. Thus our goal is to not only offer counselling and a community of belonging, but to walk a road with those in need and, importantly, to extend the Love of Christ. We wholeheartedly believe that the Lord is in the business of setting the captive free and healing His people from every sickness and disease. So, we profess and walk in the words of Luke 4:18-19 – The Spirit of the LORD is upon [us], Because He has anointed [us] To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent [us] to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
